Run by the same family for 4 generations this hotel is situated in the heart of the medieval town of Vianden, close to the famous town wall.

In the Middle Ages, the charming building was part of the famous Trinitarian Monastery. Completely restored, the hotel offers 30 comfortable rooms, a restaurant and garden-terrace, a garden, an old-inn, private parking and a garage for motor-bikes.

The hotel is open from 20 March to 3 November 2008.

Hotel information

Our family has been looking out for the well-being of our guests for 4 generations.

All the rooms have a new bathroom with shower, WC, and a flat-screen TV. There is a lift to all rooms. The comfortable balcony rooms all have a private balcony facing south, overlooking the garden and the town-wall of Vianden.

Completely restored, the hotel offers you a restaurant and a garden-terrace with French cuisine, Luxembourg specialities and a rustic wine-bar.

Food & beverage

The half-board menu is a 4-course menu with a choice for the main-course at an additional cost per person.

Room information

All our rooms are non-smoking. Our comfortable balcony rooms all have a private balcony, overlooking the garden and the town-wall of Vianden. You are allowed to smoke outside on the balconies. You can reach every floor by lift.

The hotel in general - very traditional and felt "Olde Worlde" in keeping with the town. Staff very helpful and pleasant - nothing was too much trouble.

It would have been nice to be forewarned that the restaurant and bar would not be open; after a long days travel I was looking forward to relaxing in the hotel, but this was not possible.

Nice location (out of season unfortunately).

Disappointing when we wanted to copy a couple of pages on their copy machine. we were asked 50c per page!

Quit staying even it was in the center of Vianden. Very good breakfast. Save parking facility for the car. Old style of classic hotel (fourth generation of the family). They will soon celebrate one hundred years of existing. You can feel the past as well you can see it by admiring the furniture.

Staff were excellent - food was great value - fantastic location and although we had a car we used local bus/train to access Luxembourg City as the return trip is only 7 Euros - less than the cost of parking in the city

Very pleasant staff and comfortable room.

We did not know in advance that the restaurant would be closed on Sunday evening and the doors would be locked to the hotel. We found out by chance and would otherwise have been locked out. Chips with almost everything and no fruit at breakfast.

Location very beautiful. Hotel was perfectly positioned within the town.

Dinner is served between 18h00 and 20h00! A bit odd!

Very good Hotel restaurant, fresh fruit conserves at breakfast, nice historic building with a lot of character.

Traffic noise from the cobbled street means you need to close the window (or use earplugs) unless you are used to traffic or sleep solidly. Does not apply to rooms at the back of the hotel obviously. The shower was a bit cramped, even for me with a slim posture.
